Network
Connect · Build · Grow
A community where Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and wealth builders support each other, share resources, and rise together.
This is not just a network. It is a movement — built on genuine connection, shared knowledge, and the belief that when one of us grows, all of us grow.
Based in Sacramento, California
Our Mission
"The Black in Business Network was created to bring together Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and wealth builders who are committed to growth, collaboration, and lifting each other higher. We create spaces where meaningful conversations happen, knowledge is shared freely, and connections lead to real opportunity."
What We Stand For
Everything we do is grounded in these four commitments — to each other and to the community we are building together.
Build authentic relationships with entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders who are serious about growth — and about supporting yours.
Financial literacy, wealth strategy, business growth, homeownership — shared openly in community, in plain language, without pressure or judgment.
Access to lenders, mentors, partners, and tools that actually help — because the right resource at the right time can change everything.
We are not just building businesses. We are building something worth passing down — for our families, our communities, and the generations that follow us.
Who This Is For
This community was built for people who are ready to grow with intention — and who believe we go further together than alone.
Entrepreneurs and professionals who are ready to stop building alone and want a community that is genuinely invested in their growth.
Generational wealth builders who want to use homeownership, financial education, and smart strategies to build a lasting legacy for their families.
Business owners and creatives who want meaningful connections, shared resources, and opportunities that come from being in the right room.
People who believe in lifting as they climb — and want to be part of a community where everyone's success matters.
Why It Works
Joining a network is not just about attending events. Here is what genuinely happens when Black entrepreneurs and professionals build together consistently.
Every time you show up, people see you — and remember you. Referrals build through trust and repetition. Over time, your reputation inside this network becomes one of your most valuable business assets.
The right piece of information — about an SBA loan, a real estate strategy, a financial tool — shared at the right moment can permanently shift your financial trajectory. That is what community knowledge does.
Isolation quietly kills businesses. Entrepreneurs with strong peer networks make better decisions, recover from setbacks faster, and build more sustainably. Being in community is not soft — it is smart strategy.
When people in your network know you, trust you, and respect what you do — they refer you, hire you, and speak your name in rooms you are not even in. That reputation is built here, together.
A community of people building alongside you keeps you honest, motivated, and consistent. Progress is not just possible in community — it is more likely. And consistency is the foundation of everything lasting.
As you grow, what you know becomes valuable to others. Legacy is not just what you build for yourself — it is what you pass forward. This network creates a cycle of generosity that outlasts any single business.
Gather · Connect · Grow
Every event is intentional — designed to create real conversation, real connection, and real opportunity for every person in the room.
An intimate, curated gathering for Black women entrepreneurs — from idea stage to scaling stage — to have real conversations, build meaningful connections, and grow together. This is not traditional networking. This is community.
Held the first Friday of every month. A recurring space for Black women entrepreneurs and professionals to connect, share resources, and build together. If the first Friday falls on a holiday, we move to the second Friday.
Monthly · OngoingCo-ed events where entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals connect across industries to build genuine relationships — not just exchange cards.

Black in Business Network was founded by Cassandra Workman — a real estate professional, financial educator, and community builder based in Sacramento who recognized a simple truth: Black entrepreneurs and professionals were doing the work, but too many were doing it alone.
Cassandra created this network to change that — to build a space where people could find genuine community, access real resources, and support each other's growth without pressure, without judgment, and without having to navigate it all by themselves.
Her vision is simple: a rising tide that lifts every boat in the room.
